Water

I went to the pond with a pail
And I dipped it in
But something peculiar grabbed
Add pulled it in

I looked down
And saw a crab clutching the pail
We both tugged at it
Got tired and needed a rest

As the day wore
And the sun set in the west
With courage and hope
I tugged, till I pulled the pail out

Born On A Flower

I was born on a flower
Next to an oak tree
My mother found it
And adopted me

I lived a happy life
I smelled like perfume
When my big brother rocked too hard
I turned down the volume

103 years later
I was walking near a tower
Suddenly I fell dead
I had died on the same flower!

History Mania

Have your ever heard of Washington and Abraham Lincoln
Samuel Adams and Walt Whitman

Teddy Roosevelt, John Hancock, Paul Revere
And a pint of beer

A huge party Called the Boston Tea Party

Duke Ellington, John F Kennedy and Louise Braille
And the Santa Fe Trail

They expect me to stay cool
And learn all this in pre-school?!

Alley in New York

I am going down an alley in New York Town
I can't tell you my feelings
As I pass down the old road
That used to have poker-dealings

I am going down the alley in New York Town
Where there is a window
And I see a woman in her gown

I am going down the alley in New York Town
Where fellow musicians play Jazz music
That fills my heart everyday

I am going down the alley in New York Town
And when I go, I am thinking
Maybe tonight I'll get my wife
And go to the Lincoln

Goodbye Flowers

Goodbye flowers
Summer days pass
I still see the flowers today

But the consequence of Fall
Is very strict
So they will pass away

Say Good-bye to the red roses
The flowers' sweet poses
Summer makes you gay

Tomorrow watch
The trees grow bare
Green leaves are now crisp
How lucky I am to see one last day of summer
Soon it will change in a wisp

Farmers prepare for Fall
Now that I am done admiring
I sit on the stone wall

Think about all the flowers
And say goodbye again
